Our Story
EMPOWERING LGBTQ+ YOUTH IN CRISIS
We meet LGBTQ+ youth at their most vulnerable moments — whether they’ve just lost
housing, aged out of foster care, or fled unsafe environments. Our programs offer more
than emergency aid: we provide wraparound support that includes mental health care,
educational assistance, transitional housing, and the daily reminder that their lives matter.

OUR STORY
Founded in 2016 by LGBTQ+ advocates and community members, Community Nest Foundation (CNF) was born out of necessity — and vision. What began as emergency housing and grassroots support has grown into a nationally recognized organization shaping systems, shifting culture, and saving lives.
Our name reflects our values: we are a nest, a place of warmth, refuge, and rebuilding. Each initiative we lead — from housing and healing to storytelling and justice — is guided by the belief that everyone deserves a home where they are fully seen.
